# Delete secret

`DELETE /v1beta/secrets/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.indices.io`
- URL: `https://api.indices.io/v1beta/secrets/{id}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Delete a secret. This removes it from both the database and 1Password.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required: The ID of the secret to delete.

## Response `200`

Successful response

- DeleteSecretResponse
  - `id` string, required: Unique identifier of the deleted secret.
  - `deleted` boolean, required: Whether the secret was successfully deleted.

## Other responses

- `422`: Validation error
