# Get a file download URL

`GET /v1beta/files/{file_id}/download_url`

Get a short-lived signed URL to download the file bytes directly from storage.

## Path parameters

- `file_id` string, required: The ID of the file to download.

  - `url` string, required: Short-lived signed URL to download the file bytes directly from storage.
  - `expires_at` string, date-time, required: When the download URL stops being valid.
