# Confirm a new account

`POST /signup/confirm`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.indexone.io`
- URL: `https://api.indexone.io/signup/confirm`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

Completes registration with the confirmation code emailed by `POST /signup`. After this the user can sign in.

## Request body

- object
  - `username` string, email, required
  - `confirmation_code` string, required

## Response `200`

Account confirmed. The body is the literal string `success` (not JSON).

## Other responses

- `400`: Wrong or expired code, or the user is already confirmed. The Cognito exception is not caught, so the gateway surfaces a generic error body.
- `403`: Missing or invalid `x-api-key`.
- `429`: API key usage-plan rate limit exceeded.
