# Release an unsent attachment.

`DELETE /v1/outbox-attachments/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.inboxy.net`
- URL: `https://api.inboxy.net/v1/outbox-attachments/{id}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Deletes the R2 object and the D1 row. Refused once the sender has consumed the attachment in a sent reply.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, uuid, required

## Response `200`

Deleted.

## Other responses

- `404`: No matching resource owned by the caller.
- `409`: Attachment was already consumed in a sent reply.
