# Permanently delete a message (cascade attachments + embedding).

`DELETE /v1/messages/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.inboxy.net`
- URL: `https://api.inboxy.net/v1/messages/{id}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Requires `manage` scope. Irreversible. Refuses with 409 `kept_must_unkeep_first` if the message has `kept_at` set — call `/v1/messages/{id}/unkeep` first.

- `id` string, uuid, required

## Response `204`

Deleted.

## Other responses

- `403`: Token lacks the required scope.
- `404`: No matching resource owned by the caller.
- `409`: `kept_must_unkeep_first` — unkeep before deleting.
