# Send typing indicator

`POST /threads/{threadId}/typing`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://inboxapp.com/api/v2`
- URL: `https://inboxapp.com/api/v2/threads/{threadId}/typing`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Shows the account link as typing in the conversation. At most one per thread every 2.5 seconds; extra calls return `skipped`.

- `threadId` string, required

## Response `202`

Accepted

- TypingSignal
  - `status` 'sent' | 'skipped', required
  - `reason` 'rateLimited' | 'disabled', nullable, required: Why it was skipped: `disabled` when `typingIndicators` is off for the thread, `rateLimited` when one was sent for the thread moments ago. Null when sent.
