# Create tag

`POST /tags`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://inboxapp.com/api/v2`
- URL: `https://inboxapp.com/api/v2/tags`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

## Request body

- TagCreate
  - `name` string, required
  - `color` string: Defaults to a random color from `GET /colors`.

## Response `201`

Created

- Tag: A label the team puts on contacts. A contact can have several.
  - `id` string, required
  - `name` string, required: Unique within the team, ignoring case and accents.
  - `color` string, required: A lowercase hex color.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Forbidden
- `409`: Conflict
- `422`: Unprocessable Entity
- `429`: Too Many Requests
- `500`: Internal Server Error
