# Change an installed catalog app's settings

`POST /platform/deployments/{id}/vars`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.imprezahost.com/v1`
- URL: `https://api.imprezahost.com/v1/platform/deployments/{id}/vars`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key` and API key in header `X-API-Secret`

Accepts only vars the app itself declares, each value validated
against the declared shape (booleans canonicalise to true/false;
`$`, `${…}` and ` #` are refused; at most 4096 bytes). Placement vars (domain,
host_port) are not changeable here. The change applies through an
ordinary redeploy job, so the containers are recreated with the
new environment — data is untouched.

## Other responses

- `400`: Validation failed on the request body or query parameters
- `401`: Invalid or missing API credentials
- `404`: Resource not found
