# Run recovery drill

`POST /platform/deployments/{deployment_id}/pitr/drill`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.imprezahost.com/v1`

- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key` and API key in header `X-API-Secret`

Exercise the recovery path against the newest shipped state: base backup and WAL are pulled back, replayed to the last drained instant in a scratch cluster and measured. Nothing touches the live database and nothing is switched. Requires deploy scope.

## Path parameters

- `deployment_id` string, required: The managed PostgreSQL provider.

## Response `202`

Accepted: the drill runs as a background job; read the PITR status for its outcome.

## Other responses

- `409`: Recovery not active or nothing shipped yet
