# Delete a backup and its objects

`DELETE /backups/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.imprezahost.com/v1`
- URL: `https://api.imprezahost.com/v1/backups/{id}`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key` and API key in header `X-API-Secret`

Removes every object of this backup from the bucket and drops the
record. Nothing expires on its own — the objects live in the
customer's own bucket and count against their own quota, so
deletion is only ever something they asked for.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Response `200`

Deleted, with the number of objects removed

## Other responses

- `401`: Invalid or missing API credentials
- `404`: Resource not found
- `409`: The job is still running
