# Add Face

`POST /v1/videos/{video_id}/faces`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.imentiv.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.imentiv.ai/v1/videos/{video_id}/faces`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`
  - HTTP bearer

Create a placeholder face on a video file. The new face has no detection
data — pair it with a speaker via Match Faces & Speakers when the AI
missed a person. Auto-allocates `face_id` from a monotonic counter
persisted on the doc (never reuses ids freed by delete). Cached CSV/PDF
reports are invalidated since the report enumerates faces.

Returns the auto-allocated `{face_id, name}` so the FE can append the
new tab without a re-read.

## Path parameters

- `video_id` string, required: The unique video ID.

## Request body `application/x-www-form-urlencoded`

  - `name` string: Face name (optional, max 35 chars).

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- AddFaceResponse: Response model after adding a placeholder face to a video. Attributes: id (str): Video ID the face was added to. face_id (int): Auto-allocated id (monotonic; never reuses ids freed by delete). name (str): Persisted name (trimmed; may be empty — FE renders "Face {id}" fallback).
