# Delete Audio Segment

`DELETE /v1/audios/{audio_id}/{segment_index}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.imentiv.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.imentiv.ai/v1/audios/{audio_id}/{segment_index}`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`
  - HTTP bearer

Deletes a specific segment of an audio file based on the segment index. After deletion,
the remaining segments are reindexed to fill the gap — e.g., if segment 1 is deleted, segment 2 becomes 1

## Path parameters

- `audio_id` string, required: Unique identifier of the audio file
- `segment_index` integer, required: The index of the segment to delete (0-based indexing)

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- AudioSegmentDeleteResponse: Response for deleting an audio segment. Attributes: id (str): Audio ID the segment belongs to. segment_id (int): Segment number that was deleted. message (str): Status message of the deletion operation.
