# Retrieve an event

`GET /v1/events/{eventId}`

## Request

Retrieves the canonical versioned internal audit event envelope by id for authenticated investigation and delivery recovery. It is not the redacted outbound webhook body and cannot be used to replay or verify webhook signatures.
