# Claim a queued escalation (queued → in_progress)

`POST /v1/escalations/{id}/claim`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.hyperresearch.ai`
- URL: `https://api.hyperresearch.ai/v1/escalations/{id}/claim`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in cookie `hr_session`

Take a queued escalation (`queued` → `in_progress`) so nobody else works on it at the same time. 404 `escalation_not_found` for an unknown id.
