# Request a dedicated sending IP

`POST /email-dedicated-ip`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.hypamoon.com/api/v1`

- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - OAuth 2 (authorization code, authorization URL `https://app.hypamoon.com/oauth/authorize`, token URL `https://api.hypamoon.com/oauth/token`, scopes: `messages:write`)

Asks Hypamoon to set up a dedicated IP address for this project's email. Available on the Business and Enterprise plans for €49 a month per IP, excluding VAT (shown in price before anyone requests; GET /email-deliverability has it too); otherwise dedicated_ip_not_available. We set it up ourselves and get back to the owner; nothing changes until then. It makes sense from about 100,000 emails a month with steady volume; below that the shared pool usually delivers better. A second request while one is open returns that one.

## Other responses

- `201`: Requested.
- `400`: Bad Request: invalid_json.
- `401`: Unauthorized: unauthorized, missing_api_key, invalid_api_key, api_key_revoked, project_deleted.
- `403`: Forbidden: project_not_enabled, key_mode_mismatch, missing_scope, verification_required, dedicated_ip_not_available.
- `422`: Unprocessable Content: validation_failed.
- `429`: Too Many Requests: rate_limited.
- `500`: Internal Server Error: internal_error.
- `503`: Service Unavailable: service_unavailable.
