# Restore the DNS records

`POST /domains/{id}/restore`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.hypamoon.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://api.hypamoon.com/api/v1/domains/{id}/restore`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - OAuth 2 (authorization code, authorization URL `https://app.hypamoon.com/oauth/authorize`, token URL `https://api.hypamoon.com/oauth/token`, scopes: `sites:write`)

Sets the domain's DNS zone back to a restore point (by default the newest one of the previous DNS), and returns it as a zone file plus the previous nameservers, so the move can be undone. The zone as it was is kept as a new restore point.

- `id` string, uuid, required

## Request body

- DnsRestoreInput
  - `snapshot_id` string, uuid: Optional. The id of a restore point from dns_snapshots in get_domain. Without it: the newest restore point of the previous DNS (a zone file, or the scan when the domain was connected).

## Response `200`

What changed, the zone file and the way back.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request: invalid_json.
- `401`: Unauthorized: unauthorized, missing_api_key, invalid_api_key, api_key_revoked, project_deleted.
- `403`: Forbidden: project_not_enabled, key_mode_mismatch, missing_scope, verification_required.
- `404`: Not Found: not_found.
- `409`: Conflict: conflict.
- `422`: Unprocessable Content: validation_failed.
- `429`: Too Many Requests: rate_limited.
- `500`: Internal Server Error: internal_error.
- `503`: Service Unavailable: service_unavailable.
