# Switch the nameservers

`POST /domains/{id}/nameservers`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.hypamoon.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://api.hypamoon.com/api/v1/domains/{id}/nameservers`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - OAuth 2 (authorization code, authorization URL `https://app.hypamoon.com/oauth/authorize`, token URL `https://api.hypamoon.com/oauth/token`, scopes: `sites:write`)

For a domain registered or transferred through Hypamoon: point its nameservers to the DNS zone here (refused with confirmation_required and the preflight while it is not ready, unless ignore_preflight), or back to the previous ones.

- `id` string, uuid, required

## Request body

- DomainNameserversInput
  - `use` 'hypamoon' | 'previous', required: hypamoon: the nameservers of the DNS zone here. previous: back to the nameservers the domain had before (to undo the move).
  - `ignore_preflight` boolean: Optional, default false. With use hypamoon, the switch is refused while preflight_domain is not ready; true switches anyway (only when the user accepts the listed differences).

## Response `200`

The domain, with the nameservers now set at the registry.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request: invalid_json.
- `401`: Unauthorized: unauthorized, missing_api_key, invalid_api_key, api_key_revoked, project_deleted.
- `403`: Forbidden: project_not_enabled, key_mode_mismatch, missing_scope, verification_required.
- `404`: Not Found: not_found.
- `409`: Conflict: conflict, confirmation_required.
- `422`: Unprocessable Content: validation_failed.
- `429`: Too Many Requests: rate_limited.
- `500`: Internal Server Error: internal_error.
- `502`: Bad Gateway: upstream_error.
- `503`: Service Unavailable: service_unavailable.
