# Remove left-over DNS records in one step

`POST /domains/{id}/dns-cleanup`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.hypamoon.com/api/v1`

- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - OAuth 2 (authorization code, authorization URL `https://app.hypamoon.com/oauth/authorize`, token URL `https://api.hypamoon.com/oauth/token`, scopes: `sites:write`)

Removes the records labeled safe_to_remove, minus exclude_record_ids, plus the ask-records in include_record_ids, in one step. The suggestion is made again at that moment; a record labeled keep is never removed (422). Before anything is removed, the records are written to the audit log as a zone file; the answer has the same zone_file and a cleanup_id. For 30 days the cleanup can be undone with POST /domains/{id}/dns-cleanup/restore.

## Request body

- object
  - `include_record_ids` string[]: Optional. Records labeled ask (from get_dns_cleanup) that the user chose to remove too. Records labeled keep are never removed; naming one is refused.
  - `exclude_record_ids` string[]: Optional. Records labeled safe_to_remove that the user wants to keep this time.

## Response `200`

What was removed, what failed, the zone file and until when it can be restored.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request: invalid_json.
- `401`: Unauthorized: unauthorized, missing_api_key, invalid_api_key, api_key_revoked, project_deleted.
- `403`: Forbidden: project_not_enabled, key_mode_mismatch, missing_scope, verification_required.
- `404`: Not Found: not_found.
- `409`: Conflict: conflict.
- `422`: Unprocessable Content: validation_failed.
- `429`: Too Many Requests: rate_limited.
- `500`: Internal Server Error: internal_error.
- `503`: Service Unavailable: service_unavailable.
