# Suggest a cleanup of left-over DNS records

`GET /domains/{id}/dns-cleanup`

## Request

For a domain on Hypamoon's nameservers: which records were left behind by the previous host, such as the names a hosting control panel (cPanel, Plesk, DirectAdmin) creates by itself, old certificate tokens and names that still point to the previous host. Each record has a label (safe_to_remove, ask or keep), a group and the reason. Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, everything Hypamoon manages, SPF, DMARC and the domain's MX are always keep. spf_advice suggests how to tighten the SPF; it is never changed by a cleanup. Names that point to the previous host are checked over https (live_checked). recent_cleanups lists the cleanups of the last 30 days. Read-only.

- `409`: Conflict: conflict.
- `429`: Too Many Requests: rate_limited.
- `500`: Internal Server Error: internal_error.
- `503`: Service Unavailable: service_unavailable.
