# Read the exact conditional-license obligations for one public artifact.

`GET /api/license-acceptances/{id}`

Read-only offer. When acceptance is required, the response includes the obligations digest, affirmative POST body, and token presentation contract. It never accepts terms or moves bytes.

**Inputs.** Path, query and header fields are listed below. No request body is required.

**Outputs.** See each status below for its media type, schema and headers. A missing record or unavailable capability is not a successful empty result.

**Errors.** API JSON failures use the documented response schema. Read code, message and next; retry only when the response allows it. Auth, invalid input and missing records need a caller change.

**Rate limits.** Public read budgets apply by client IP and route group. This operation can have a smaller route-specific budget. Read Retry-After on 429 or retryable 503 responses.

**Example setup.** Use an identifier returned by the matching list, search or create operation. Sample identifiers are not a promise that a record exists.

Acceptance offer. For a conditional licence: obligations, digest and the affirmative POST body. For an unconditional licence (e.g. apache-2.0): acceptance.required is false, there is nothing to POST, and `next` points at the download-plan.

## Other responses

- `404`: Artifact not found or not public
- `409`: Conditional licence whose obligations cannot be enumerated (license_obligations_unavailable): bytes are withheld and `next` is the download-plan. POST for an unconditional licence returns 200 status:not-required (nothing to accept; read the plan).
