# Resolve a query to ranked entity matches (name/ticker/CIK/ticker.MIC)

`GET /api/v1/entities/find`

## Request

Entity resolution: maps a free-text `query` (ticker, name substring, CIK, or `TICKER.MIC`) to up to 5 ranked matches (exact ticker.MIC > exact ticker > exact CIK > name-or-ticker substring, alphabetical by name). Each match carries `mic` so cross-exchange ticker collisions (e.g. `MC.XPAR`=LVMH vs `MC.XNYS`=Moelis) can be disambiguated.

Richer than `/search` (which has no ticker/CIK/MIC resolution or rank). Rate limit: the plan of the calling key (Free 120, Builder 300, Team 600, Enterprise 1,000 per minute).

## Query parameters

- `query` string: Ticker, name, CIK, or TICKER.MIC.

    - `per_page` integer, nullable
    - `total` integer, nullable
  - `links` ApiLinks: HATEOAS-style pagination cursors. Host-relative path + query links for a collection page. Present on collection endpoints, ``null`` fields where a page doesn't exist (``next`` on the last page, ``prev`` on the first). The whole ``links`` object is omitted from single-resource responses (see ``ApiResponse`` serializer).
