# Point-in-time financial query, as of date Y (premium)

`GET /api/v1/entities/{entity_id}/financials/as-of`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.hub-equity.com`

Returns the time-series of a Hub concept as it was *known on a historical date*. Filters out filings that did not exist yet at `as_of` ; per-fiscal-year the value is taken from the most recent filing whose `filing_date ≤ as_of`.

Answers *"what did Apple's FY2023 revenue look like in March 2024 before the FY2024 amendment landed?"* without manual filing archeology.

Use cases :
- **Backtest hygiene** — quant strategies must not peek at facts that didn't exist on the strategy date (survivorship/lookahead bias).
- **Restatement audit** — confirm whether a fact was already known on a regulatory deadline or arrived later via 10-K/A.
- **Time-machine BI** — replay an analyst's view to debug a decision retrospectively.

Query params :
- `as_of` (YYYY-MM-DD, required) — point-in-time cutoff.
- `hub_concept_code` (required) — Hub concept (e.g. REVENUE).
- `years` 1-30, default 5.
- `period_type` FY (default) or Q.

Current limitations:
- Currency is reported in native currency only — no historical FX translation (would require a point-in-time ECB feed).
- Only values read directly from filings; values Hub-Equity computes from several tags are not included yet.
- Restatements carried by the comparative columns of later filings are not taken into account yet.

- `as_of` string, date, required: Historical cutoff date (ISO YYYY-MM-DD). Only filings with `filing_date ≤ as_of` are considered.
- `hub_concept_code` string, required: Hub concept code (e.g. REVENUE, NET_INCOME).
- `years` integer: Lookback window (1-30, default 5).
- `period_type` string: `FY` for annual (default) or `Q` for quarterly.
