# Approve an entry: e-mail a single-use sign-up link bound to its address (a new link replaces an earlier one)

`POST /operator/waitlist/{entryId}/invite`

## Request

  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in cookie `__Host-hs_session`

## Path parameters

## Request body

  - `reason` string, required: Shown in the operator audit log
  - `validDays` integer: How long the invite link works (default 14 days)

## Response `200`

Invited

  - `status` 'ok', required
  - `id` string, uuid, required
  - `expiresAt` string, required: ISO-8601 timestamp

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request (code invalid_request)
- `403`: Not a platform operator, a bearer-authenticated request, or a session older than 5 minutes (code forbidden; details.reauthenticate is true for the last case)
- `404`: Not found (code not_found)
- `409`: The address already has an account, or the entry changed meanwhile (code conflict)
- `501`: Invites are not available on this server (code not_configured)
