# Create an Edge Config / Global Config for a project: unchanged @vercel/edge-config code reads it with the connection string (shown once)

`POST /global-configs`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://hostingsurge.com/api/v1`

- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in cookie `__Host-hs_session`

## Query parameters

- `orgId` string: Organization id (when the project could be in several of your teams)

## Request body

  - `projectId` string, uuid, required: the project whose app reads the config
  - `items` object: items as {key: value}; keys are letters, digits, "_" and "-"
  - `legacyId` string: the Vercel Edge Config it replaces

- `402`: A storage limit is reached (code limit_reached)
- `403`: Authenticated but not permitted (code forbidden)
- `404`: Not found or not visible to the caller (code not_found)

- `501`: Vercel compatibility is not configured on this server (code not_configured)
