# Update a Cross-border Sender

`PATCH /api/b2b/cross-border/requests/senders/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api-v2.honeycoin.app`
- URL: `https://api-v2.honeycoin.app/api/b2b/cross-border/requests/senders/{id}`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Update one or more allowed fields of an active sender before any cross-border request references it. Individual senders may change phoneNumber, email, firstName, lastName, birthday, or nationality. Business senders may change phoneNumber, email, or companyName. Sender type, identification details, and address cannot be changed here. The sender must belong to your account. Sandbox: use the same suffix under /api/sandbox/b2b/cross-border/requests with a sandbox bearer token.

## Request body

- object: Send one or more changed fields. The allowed identity fields depend on the existing sender type.
  - `phoneNumber` string: International number including + and country calling code.
  - `email` string, email: Must be unique among active senders in your account; normalized to lowercase.
  - `firstName` string: Individual senders only; letters, spaces, apostrophes and hyphens.
  - `lastName` string: Individual senders only; letters, spaces, apostrophes and hyphens.
  - `birthday` string: Individual senders only; YYYY-MM-DD.
  - `nationality` string: Individual senders only; uppercase two-letter country code.
  - `companyName` string: Business senders only.

## Response `200`

Sender updated.

## Other responses

- `202`: An identical request is still being processed. Wait and reconcile before retrying.
- `400`: Invalid or empty patch body.
- `401`: Authentication failed. Sandbox also returns UNAUTHORISED when the sender belongs to another account.
- `403`: Sender belongs to another account, or an existing cross-border request references it.
- `404`: SENDER_NOT_FOUND: sender is missing or deleted.
- `409`: SENDER_EMAIL_IN_USE: the submitted email is already used by an active sender.
- `422`: INVALID_UPDATE: the field does not apply to this sender type.
