# Send an outbound SMS from a SIM

`POST /sms/outgoing/`

## Request body

- object
  - `body` string, required: SMS message body
  - `destinationphonenumber` string, required: Destination phone number
  - `deviceid` integer: Device ID of the sending device; required if phonenumber is not provided
  - `phonenumber` string: Phone number of the sending device; required if deviceid is not provided

## Response `200`

OK

- SimpleSuccessResponse
  - `success` boolean: Indicates whether the request was successful.

## Other responses

- `400`: Missing deviceid or phonenumber, device not found, or device has no phone number assigned
- `401`: Unauthorized
