# Route an inbound SMS to a SIM

`POST /sms/incoming/`

## Request

Authenticated endpoint for delivering inbound SMS to a SIM.

## Request body

- object
  - `fromnumber` string: Source phone number
  - `body` string: SMS message body (plain text)
  - `base64body` string: Base64-encoded message body; takes precedence over body if provided
  - `deviceid` integer: Target device ID
  - `deviceids` integer[]: Target device IDs
  - `phonenumber` string: Target SIM phone number; used to look up SIM when deviceid/deviceids are absent

## Response `200`

OK

- SMSInboundResponse
  - `success` boolean: Indicates whether the request was successful.
  - `data` object
    - `msgcount` integer: Number of device-terminated SMS messages sent

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request
- `401`: Unauthorized
