# Move entries from one Application List to another.

`POST /application-lists/{listId}/entries/move`

## Request

- Base URL: `/` (relative, and the document was published on a file host, not at the API’s origin)
- URL: `/application-lists/{listId}/entries/move`

Moves the specified entries from the **source** list (path `listId`) to a single **destination** list. Each moved entry has a note appended containing its previous list details. If appending the note would make an entry's notes exceed 4000 characters, that entry is not moved. Other eligible entries are still moved and committed, then the request returns `400 Bad Request` with the skipped entry IDs in the format `Could not move ALEs: <id>, <id>`.

## Request body

- MoveEntriesDto: Parameters to move entries from one Application List to another.
  - `targetListId` string, uuid, required: ID of the **destination** Application List (must differ from the source `listId` in the path).
  - `entryIds` string[], required: Array of entry IDs to move. All must currently belong to the source list.

## Response `200`

All entries successfully moved. No response body.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request parameters.
- `401`: Authentication required or token invalid.
- `403`: Authenticated but not permitted to perform this action.
- `404`: The requested resource was not found.
- `409`: Conflict with the current state of the resource.
- `500`: Unexpected server error.
