# Change (or, for an OAuth-only account, set the first) password

`POST /api/me/password`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://hiveship.app/api`

- Auth: API key in cookie `hiveship_access`

Revokes every other active session — a fresh cookie pair is issued on this response so the calling device stays signed in.

## Response `200`

Password changed; this device stays signed in

## Other responses

- `400`: Validation error, or currentPassword missing/unexpected
- `401`: currentPassword is incorrect
