# Create billing checkout session

`POST /api/cloud/billing/checkout`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://demo.hitkeep.com`
- URL: `https://demo.hitkeep.com/api/cloud/billing/checkout`
- Auth: API key in cookie `hk_token`

Creates a Stripe Checkout session to upgrade the authenticated hosted Cloud team to a paid plan. Requires team.manage_settings on the active team. The cancellation URL retains the requested plan, interval, and team for recovery.

- `400`: Invalid request
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Team billing access denied
- `404`: Cloud billing account not found
- `409`: Use billing portal to manage an existing paid plan
- `502`: Unable to start checkout
