# Checkpoint the shared database

`POST /api/admin/system/database/checkpoint`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://demo.hitkeep.com`

- Auth: API key in cookie `hk_token`

Runs an immediate serialized DuckDB checkpoint and records the operator action in the instance audit log.
