# Create Vitals Interaction

`POST /provider/patients/{patient_id}/interactions/vitals`

## Request body

  - `vitals` InteractionVitalsSanitizerMeasurementsSanitizer, required
    - `systolic` number, float: Systolic blood pressure, in mmHg. Requires diastolic.
    - `diastolic` number, float: Diastolic blood pressure, in mmHg. Requires systolic.
    - `heart_rate` number, float: Heart rate, in beats per minute.
    - `respiratory_rate` number, float: Respiratory rate, in breaths per minute.
    - `spo2` number, float: Oxygen saturation, as a percentage. Must be 100 or less.
    - `temp` number, float: Body temperature, in the unit given by temp_unit.
    - `temp_unit` 'C' | 'F': Required when temp is present, rejected otherwise.
    - `height` number, float: Height, in the unit given by height_unit.
    - `height_unit` 'INCHES' | 'CM': Required when height is present, rejected otherwise.
    - `weight` number, float: Weight, in the unit given by weight_unit.
    - `weight_unit` 'POUNDS' | 'KILOS': Required when weight is present, rejected otherwise.
    - `head_circumference` number, float: Head circumference, in the unit given by head_circumference_unit.
    - `head_circumference_unit` 'INCHES' | 'CM': Required when head_circumference is present, rejected otherwise.
    - `bmi` number, float: Body mass index, in kg/m2. Supplied by the partner; not derived.
    - `growth_percentile` number, float: Growth percentile, from 0 to 100.
  - `event_timestamp` string, date-time: When the vitals were taken. Defaults to the current time.
  - `provider_name` string: Name of the provider the reading is attributed to. Resolved to a provider user when it matches one, otherwise stored as given.
  - `integration_record_id` string
  - `integration_error_message` string
  - `integration_web_link` string
