# Create Card

`POST /provider/patients/{patient_id}/cards`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.sandbox.hint.com/api`
- URL: `https://api.sandbox.hint.com/api/provider/patients/{patient_id}/cards`
- Auth: API key in header `AUTHORIZATION`

Exactly one of `stripe_id` or `rainforest_id` must be provided. Practices on Stripe submit a
`stripe_id`; practices on Hint Payments (Rainforest) submit a `rainforest_id`.

## Path parameters

- `patient_id` string, required

## Request body

- ProviderCardsControllerCreateBody
  - `stripe_id` string: Tokenized card id from Stripe. Required if the practice uses Stripe.
  - `rainforest_id` string: Tokenized card id from Rainforest. Required if the practice uses Hint Payments.
  - `card_type` string
  - `last_four` string
