# Upload a file to a patient's chart.

`POST /provider/partner-invisible/patients/{patient_id}/files`

- `patient_id` string, required

- ProviderPatientsClinicalFilesControllerCreateBody
  - `file` string, required: A file to store on the patient's chart, provided as either a downloadable URL or a base64-encoded data URI (e.g. "data:application/pdf;base64,..."). The file is fetched or decoded server-side and uploaded to the patient's chart.
