`GET /provider/customer_invoices/{customer_invoice_id}/payments/{id}`

  - `external_type` 'cash' | 'check' | 'card' | 'ach' | 'eft' | 'other': Present only on external (mark-as-paid) payments. Currently always reported as "card", regardless of how the payment was recorded.
