# Create tournament

`POST /v1/tournaments`

## Request

## Request body

- object
  - `tournament` object
    - `name` string
    - `facility_id` string
    - `sport_id` integer
    - `banner_s3_path` string
    - `start_time` string, date-time
    - `end_time` string, date-time
    - `scoring_enabled` boolean: Drives the live scorecard overlay for this tournament.

## Response `201`

Tournament created. access_code, access_code_expires_at and viewer_code are present only for an admin; external_partner_config is never returned.

## Other responses

- `422`: Unprocessable entity
