# Join a game by its invite code

`POST /v1/games/join`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.hify.club`
- URL: `https://api.hify.club/v1/games/join`
- Auth: API key in header `X-User-Token`

## Request body

- object
  - `game_code` string, required
  - `user_photo_s3_path` string
  - `si` string, uuid: Invite link's sharer. Used as referrer_id on the join event when it is another user's uuid; otherwise ignored.

## Response `200`

Successfully joined the game; returns the game
