# Trigger a background job on demand

`POST /v1/admin/jobs/trigger`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.hify.club`
- URL: `https://api.hify.club/v1/admin/jobs/trigger`
- Auth: API key in header `X-User-Token`

Admin-only endpoint that enqueues any ApplicationJob by class name. Accepts an optional `params` hash that is forwarded to the job (as keyword arguments by default, or transformed by a registered custom transformer).

## Request body

- object
  - `job` string, required: The job class name to enqueue
  - `params` object: Optional parameters to pass to the job. Shape depends on the job being triggered.

## Response `202`

Job successfully enqueued

- object
  - `status` string
  - `job` string

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized – missing or invalid auth token
- `403`: Forbidden – caller is not an admin
- `422`: Unprocessable entity – job name is blank, unknown, or does not refer to an ApplicationJob subclass
