# Get Project Client Metadata

`GET /attendance/project-clients/metadata`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.hibob.com/v1`
- URL: `https://api.hibob.com/v1/attendance/project-clients/metadata`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP basic
  - HTTP bearer

Returns the project client fields (out-of-the-box only) fields and custom fields. Use the field ID in fields and filters when calling the <a href="/reference/post_attendance-project-clients-search" target="_blank">project client search endpoint</a>.

    - `id` string: Object type identifier
    - `displayName` string: Human-readable name
    - `fields` FieldMetadata[]: List of fields available on this object type
      - `id` string: Field identifier path
      - `type` object
        - `dataType` 'text' | 'long_text' | 'number' | 'boolean' | 'date' | 'entity_id' | 'currency_value' | 'json' | 'objectReference': The data type of a field
        - `typeData` object: Additional type-specific data (e.g., reference information for objectReference types)
          - `referenceId` string: The referenced object type ID (used with objectReference dataType)
      - `propertiesValues` object: Field display properties and constraints
        - `displayName` object: Human-readable label for the field
          - `value` string
        - `description` object: Description of how the field is used and other notes
          - `value` string
        - `isRequired` object: Whether the field is required when creating records
          - `value` boolean

## Other responses

- `400`: The request is malformed or includes invalid parameters
- `401`: Authentication failed. Check your service user credentials
- `403`: The service user or token is missing the required permissions to access the requested data
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded - see <a href="https://apidocs.hibob.com/reference/project-clients#rate-limiting">Rate limits</a>
- `500`: An unexpected error occurred. Try again or contact support if the issue persists.
