# Delete Podcast

`DELETE /v3/podcasts/{podcast_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.heygen.com`
- URL: `https://api.heygen.com/v3/podcasts/{podcast_id}`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `x-api-key`
  - HTTP bearer

Soft-deletes a podcast so it no longer appears in the get/list endpoints. Does not cancel in-flight generation or permanently remove files. Idempotent: deleting an already-deleted podcast succeeds.

## Path parameters

- `podcast_id` string, required

## Response `200`

Successful response

  - `data` PodcastDeleteResponse: Response for DELETE /v3/podcasts/{podcast_id} — an empty object on success.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request parameters
- `401`: Authentication failed
- `404`: Resource not found
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded
