# Get workflow execution status

`GET /v1/workflows/executions/{execution_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.heygen.com`
- URL: `https://api.heygen.com/v1/workflows/executions/{execution_id}`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `x-api-key`
  - HTTP bearer

Poll the status and output of a workflow execution.

**Single-workflow executions** return output in the `output` field.

**Multi-workflow graph executions** return all outputs in the `outputs` field, keyed by workflow ID.

- `execution_id` string, required

## Response `200`

Successful response

- object
  - `data` WorkflowExecutionDetailResponse: Response for polling a workflow execution (GET /v1/workflows/executions/<execution_id>).
    - `execution_id` string, required: The execution ID
    - `status` string, required: Execution status: submitted | running | completed | failed | not_found
    - `output` object, nullable: Workflow output when completed (single-workflow executions)
    - `outputs` object, nullable: All workflow outputs keyed by workflow ID (multi-workflow graph executions)
    - `error` WorkflowExecutionError: Structured error detail for a workflow execution.
      - `code` string, required: Machine-readable error code
      - `message` string, required: Human-readable error message

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request parameters
- `401`: Authentication failed
- `404`: Resource not found
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded
