# Update Brand Voice

`POST /v1/brand_voice/{brand_voice_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.heygen.com`
- URL: `https://api.heygen.com/v1/brand_voice/{brand_voice_id}`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-KEY`

Updates an existing brand voice with specified changes. Only the fields that need to be modified should be included in the request body.

## Path parameters

- `brand_voice_id` string, required

## Request body

- object
  - `name` string: New name for the brand voice
  - `blacklist` string[]: List of words that should not be translated (e.g., brand names, person names)
  - `whitelist` string[]: List of word pairs for forced translations | [["AI", "artificial intelligence"]]
  - `tones` string[]: List of tone keywords to influence the voice
  - `vocabulary` string[]: List of word pairs for pronunciation guidance
  - `tone` string: Overall tone description
