# Authenticate against the server.

`POST /v1/console/authenticate`

## Request

## Request body

- AuthenticateRequest: Authentication request.
  - `email` string: Email address.
  - `password` string: Password.
  - `mfa` string: Multi-factor authentication code.

## Response `200`

A successful response.

- Session: A session.
  - `token` string: Token credential.
  - `refresh_token` string: Refresh token.
  - `mfa_code` string: MFA code required to setup the MFA mechanism.

- `default`: An unexpected error response.
