# Mark the conversation read

`PUT /workspaces/{workspaceSlug}/mentor/conversation/read`

## Request

- Base URL: `/` (relative, and the document was published on a file host, not at the API’s origin)
- URL: `/workspaces/{workspaceSlug}/mentor/conversation/read`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Records how far the developer read, for every device. The marker keeps the latest time: an earlier one changes nothing.

## Path parameters

- `workspaceSlug` string, required

## Request body

- MentorReadRequest: How far the developer read their Heph conversation
  - `at` string, date-time, required: The time of the newest answer the developer saw

## Response `200`

The marker after the request: this time or a later one

- MentorRead: How far the developer read their Heph conversation
  - `lastReadAt` string, date-time: The read marker; absent when the developer has no conversation yet
