# List substances

`GET /v1/substances`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.hempdata.io`
- URL: `https://api.hempdata.io/v1/substances`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Returns all tracked hemp-derived substances (e.g. delta-9-thc, cbd, delta-8-thc, cbg, cbn).

    - `regulation_count` integer, required
    - `states_legal` integer: Number of states where this substance is legal

    - `states_prohibited` integer
    - `aliases` string[]: Other spellings merged into this entry. Every slug and alias is accepted by the /v1/regulations filters (one normalizer).
  - `meta` object
    - `total` integer
  - `errors` ApiError[], nullable
    - `code` string, required: Machine-readable error code
    - `message` string, required: Human-readable error message
    - `field` string, nullable: Field that caused the error, if applicable
