# Request indication then quote

`POST /broker/submissions/{submission_id}/api-quotes/sessions/{session_id}/close`

## Request

Soft-fails, if the carrier still needs answers, the returned session's outcome is awaiting_answers with the gaps listed.
For files created before the instant-quote flow. A file a connected
app or machine credential created returns 409 `use_quote`: request
its quotes with `POST .../quote`.
