# Archive a workspace

`DELETE /workspaces/{id}`

## Request

Archives the workspace. Only the workspace owner can do this, and the
consequences are immediate and serious: the workspace's subscription is
cancelled, every member loses access, and it can no longer be acted on
through the API. Thirty days later its content — conversations, media,
folders, glossaries — is permanently deleted. There is no way to undo
an archive through the API; contact support within the 30-day window
if a workspace was archived by mistake.

## Response `204`

The workspace was archived.

## Other responses

- `401`: Your API key is missing (`missing_api_key`) or wrong (`invalid_api_key`), or it may not access this resource (`unauthorized`).
- `403`: The caller is a member but not the owner of the workspace. Code `workspace_archive_not_allowed`.
- `404`: Workspace does not exist, is already archived, or the caller is not a member.
