# Remove a membership

`DELETE /organization_memberships/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://www.happyscribe.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://www.happyscribe.com/api/v1/organization_memberships/{id}`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Removes a member from the workspace. The owner cannot be removed through this
endpoint. Requires an `owner` or `admin` role.

## Path parameters

- `id` integer, required

## Response `204`

The membership was removed.

## Other responses

- `401`: Caller is not an `owner` or `admin`, or the target membership belongs to the workspace owner.
- `404`: Membership does not exist or belongs to an archived workspace.
