# Get Dividend History

`GET /api/dividends/{symbol}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.halalterminal.com`
- URL: `https://api.halalterminal.com/api/dividends/{symbol}`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Retrieve the dividend payment history for a stock.

Returns every recorded dividend payment for the given symbol, including
the payment date and per-share amount in USD, ordered chronologically.

## Path parameters

- `symbol` string, required: Ticker symbol, e.g. AAPL.

## Response `200`

Chronological list of historical dividend payments.

- DividendHistoryResponse: Historical dividend payments for a stock.
  - `symbol` string, required: Ticker symbol (e.g. 'MSFT').
  - `count` integer, required: Total number of dividend payments returned.
  - `dividends` DividendPayment[], required: Chronological list of dividend payments.
    - `date` string, required: Payment date in YYYY-MM-DD format.
    - `amount` number, required: Dividend amount per share in USD.

## Other responses

- `404`: Symbol not found or has no dividend history.
- `422`: Validation Error
