# Add a predefined skill

`POST /agents/builtin_skills/add`

Installs a predefined skill from the built-in skill library.

## Request body

- object
  - `skill_id` string, required: The ID of the predefined skill to add
  - `enable_by_default` boolean: Whether to enable the skill by default

## Response `201`

Skill added successfully

  - `id` string: The created skill ID

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request
- `401`: Unauthorized - Invalid or missing API key
- `404`: Predefined skill not found
- `409`: Skill with the same name already exists
- `500`: Internal server error
- `default`: Unexpected error
